Welcome to Red Gate Hollow – Nature Preserve

Every place has a story. Redgate Hollow Nature Preserve is just getting started—and we’re inviting you in from day one.

Red Gate Hollow entry

Tucked into the landscape of eastern Kentucky, Redgate Hollow is becoming a thoughtfully designed nature preserve, future RV park, and glamping destination rooted in respect for land, water, and time. This website is the front door to that journey. Here, you’ll be able to learn about the property, understand the design philosophy guiding its development, and soon—very soon—book camping and RV sites as they come online.

Unlike conventional campgrounds that arrive fully formed, Redgate Hollow is intentionally evolving in public view. We believe good places are grown, not dropped from the sky. Visitors will be able to follow along as infrastructure is carefully introduced, sites are carved lightly into the terrain, and shared spaces are designed to balance comfort with restraint. Sustainability isn’t a buzzword here; it’s the baseline. From site planning to material choices, every move is about doing more with less and letting the land lead.

A special and deeply personal part of the preserve is the Memorial Dog Park, created in loving memory of our French bulldog, Nemo. This space is dedicated to the companionship, joy, and grounding presence dogs bring into our lives. It’s a quiet counterpoint to the broader development—a place to pause, remember, and reconnect, whether you’re a pet owner or simply someone who understands the power of that bond.

As the project unfolds, this site will also become a living journal. Updates, sketches, photos, and reflections will document the process of building a place that’s meant to last—and to feel human. If you’d like to stay in the loop, we’ll be launching a newsletter soon. Subscribing will give you early access to booking announcements, development milestones, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to shape a meaningful destination from the ground up.
